Chicken Pot Pie is one of those comfort foods that makes for a perfect meal when it’s chilly out. In our household one of us isn’t a fan of gravy and I’ll give you a hint…it’s not ME! I love love love gravies and sauces but my other half does not! So I created this Chicken Pot Pie recipe to be full of flavor without any sauce.
Grab your crockpot and two chicken breasts and let’s get started…
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp Better then bouillon chicken
- 2-10oz Birdseye steam fresh mixed veggies
- 1 box of Pillsbury pie crusts (2 in a package)
First place 2 frozen or fresh boneless skinless chicken breasts and 1 tbsp of better the bouillon in your crock pot for 8 hours on low or 4 hours on high
Shred the chicken while still in the crockpot
Add in your frozen veggies and stir (I like to mix the veggies in the crockpot while it’s on warm to get it all mixed together nicely)
Place the first pie crust in your pie plate
Place the 2nd pie crust over the filling & make sure you add a few slits to the top.
Place in the oven at 425 degrees for 40 minutes, remove and let stand for 10 minutes prior to serving.
